  • Revision to April 28th Ride
Due to construction on I-17 there is a problem with the Exit and entrance to Bumblebee. The ramp to reenter I-17 is closed so we cannot exit the are to return to the city with out going North to Sunset point. To avoid this we will NOW stage out of North Black Canyon City,  Heading North on I-17 exit on Coldwater Rd, Exit # 244. Turn left crossing under the freeway. I am not sure exactly where we will stage but it will be near the former dog  track area. From there we will travel North along Maggie mine road to the road to Bumblebee.Read More →
  • OHV Permit Requirements for Four OHV Areas on the Tonto National Forest
We had a question at our last General Meeting on cost of a permit ($10 for 3 day permit). I did a quick search and came up with the following, https://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DOCUMENTS/fseprd1209317.pdf. The fee is not for the entire National Forest but only for 4 OHV areas, Bulldog Canyon, The Rolls, St. Clair, and Desert Vista. The Lower Sycamore OHV Permit Zone will eventually be required but the exact date of implementation is still to be determined. For OHV Area maps I refer you to, https://www.fs.usda.gov/activity/tonto/recreation/ohv/?recid=35199&actid=93. You have to search for a link to a map (not easy to see). Keith MenascoRead More →
