For our sport, recovery gear is essential. Everyone needs to have a recovery kit they (or someone they are riding with) can depend on. I didn’t know the difference between tow straps and recovery tow straps. Other than the price, I think we need the “recovery” straps. I didn’t know there were things like synthetic shackles that are as good as a steel or aluminum shackles but are flexible like rope. I am sure there are many sources for good gear.
