I have gotten a lot of questions on how to use GAIA. I made my first attempt to do a basic “how to” video that shows how to download a track to your computer, how to import it into GAIA and then how to make sure it is on your ipad or phone when you do your next ride. If you think this helped you, let me know and I will do more of these. You can find this video on GAIA at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1MgBLZof5mo&t=180s. I would be interested to know if this helps anyone. Keith Menasco [email protected]Read More →

During our last General Meeting Tom Murphy brought to our attention a very exciting new trail that is being developed that will be similar to the “Peace Trail” but, in the higher elevations of eastern Arizona. It is called the Arizona Alpine Trail (https://azalpinetrail.com/). The trail is in its beginning stages and will take a while. I am sure volunteers will be needed. I know, I for one, am very excited about this. Keith MenascoRead More →

As a Club, we have limited ways of creating revenue. One is through the purchase of Club Merchandise. We now have a new hat design. All prices for our hats, shirts, etc are at: https://azatvriders.club/forum/topic/az-atv-riders-club-merchandise/#postid-13. The new hats may be a little higher in cost than what is on our website. John will be at the meeting with the merchandise ready for you to purchase. Send him an email letting him know what you want and the size. John Williams 5109john@bbonnRead More →

Rod Moyer shared with me something that seems to really help, especially if you have a plexiglass windshield or ipad screens. The item is: Static Off, Antistatic Foaming Spray by MG Chemicals (https://www.mgchemicals.com/). As we all know, dust is a relentless problem and constantly wiping off a plexiglass windshield may scratch it. So the use of this spray seems to help reducing the dust that collects making it possible to reduce the number of times you need to clean it. Hope this helps! Keith MenascoRead More →

I have created a new “Forum” topic for these discussions. Instead of selecting “Event”, select “Forum” and you should see a topic (or thread) that you can open. I added a new one for how to crop the beginning or end of a track. I don’t know about you, but I often forget to end my track recording at the end of the day and find that it tracks me all the way to my house. I found this article that really helped me and I am sharing it with you in the “Forum” discussions. Keith MenascoRead More →

For those who are not planning to bring an RV, the nucleus for this trip will be the Bar 10 Ranch https://www.bar10.com/ I have reservations for the night of 11 & 12, checking out on 13. This is busy season for the Ranch so you will need to make reservations soon. Other nights have yet to be determined. I am waiting to see if those with RVs want to get involved and where they will camp. The road to Bar 10 Ranch is too rough to drive an RV. Please register. Email me if you have questions. Here is a video of the trip madeRead More →

I saw a video where they left Wickenburg, drove up Sols Wash, crossed Hwy 71 and then up Bullard Wash? to Alamo Lake. They had lunch at Wayside Oasis and then drove back Date Creek through Box Canyon. Can someone help me with a gps track to do this ride? It looked like a long one but a good one, mostly driving in sandy washes. Keith Menasco [email protected]Read More →
