Our Christmas Party was a Success!  We all owe our thanks to Teresa McPherson and her crew, April Palagi, Deborah Branch, and Jill Brown, for doing such a great job of decorating and running the festivities where so many gifts were given away. I wish that everyone could have attended our General Meeting. Rick Brunner, an EMT Instructor talked about what we can do if we encounter an emergency while driving in the back country. He provided the list below that he recommends that we carry with us. If not all of it, at least this will give you good guidance on some items to pull together for an emergency bag. I have gotten a lot of questions on how to use GAIA. I made my first attempt to do a basic “how to” video that shows how to download a track to your computer, how to import it into GAIA and then how to make sure it is on your ipad or phone when you do your next ride. During our last General Meeting Tom Murphy brought to our attention a very exciting new trail that is being developed that will be similar to the “Peace Trail” but, in the higher elevations of eastern Arizona. It is called the Arizona Alpine Trail (https://azalpinetrail.com/). The trail is in its beginning stages and will take a while. I am sure volunteers will be needed. Rod Moyer shared with me something that seems to really help, especially if you have a plexiglass windshield or ipad screens. The item is: Static Off, Antistatic Foaming Spray by MG Chemicals (https://www.mgchemicals.com/). As we all know, dust is a relentless problem and constantly wiping off a plexiglass windshield may scratch it.
