I wish that everyone could have attended our General Meeting. Rick Brunner, an EMT Instructor talked about what we can do if we encounter an emergency while driving in the back country. He provided the list below that he recommends that we carry with us. If not all of it, at least this will give you good guidance on some items to pull together for an emergency bag. Rick informed us that all of this is available on Amazon. If there are some who are interested in a more intensive first aid classes, especially for CPR training, send me an email and I can helpRead More →

A long-time member of AAR, Larry Walker, passed away on October 11, 2023, after a long battle with strokes. He was 86 years old. Larry was not a founder of the Club however he was one of the early members of the organization. He loved to ride his quad. During his riding days he crossed the state riding. His favorite places to ride were in the Forest Lakes/Heber area where he would camp and ride. Those who knew him, will remember his great sense of humor. I personally will miss a dear friend, and great riding buddy. Rest in peace, my friend. Remembrance to: PatRead More →

I have gotten a lot of questions on how to use GAIA. I made my first attempt to do a basic “how to” video that shows how to download a track to your computer, how to import it into GAIA and then how to make sure it is on your ipad or phone when you do your next ride. If you think this helped you, let me know and I will do more of these. You can find this video on GAIA at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1MgBLZof5mo&t=180s. I would be interested to know if this helps anyone. Keith Menasco [email protected]Read More →

During our last General Meeting Tom Murphy brought to our attention a very exciting new trail that is being developed that will be similar to the “Peace Trail” but, in the higher elevations of eastern Arizona. It is called the Arizona Alpine Trail (https://azalpinetrail.com/). The trail is in its beginning stages and will take a while. I am sure volunteers will be needed. I know, I for one, am very excited about this. Keith MenascoRead More →

As a Club, we have limited ways of creating revenue. One is through the purchase of Club Merchandise. We now have a new hat design. All prices for our hats, shirts, etc are at: https://azatvriders.club/forum/topic/az-atv-riders-club-merchandise/#postid-13. The new hats may be a little higher in cost than what is on our website. John will be at the meeting with the merchandise ready for you to purchase. Send him an email letting him know what you want and the size. John Williams 5109john@bbonnRead More →

Below is an email from from Karen Osburn with the City of Sedona. They are proposing  a city ordinance (DRAFT ATTACHED) to prohibit the use of OHVs within city limits on pavement. I have included her information at the bottom of her note should you have questions for the City of Sedona. At this time Arizona State Parks and Trails will remain neutral on this ordinance. If you have questions or concerns, please let me know and I’ll be happy to assist you.  I have attached the DRAFT of an improper motor vehicle equipment ordinance for your review.  I would like to also extend an invitation to all of youRead More →
